The NHS Foundation Ruby Fund

Help NHS Human Services celebrate 40 years of care and commitment to the community with a donation to the NHS Ruby Fund.
NHS first opened its doors as the Northwest Center in October of 1969 at 27 E. Mt. Airy Avenue and was one of the first mental health centers in Philadelphia. The Northwest Center quickly became the largest mental health/mental retardation facility in the city. With a clear reputation for quality care and services, programs continued to grow and today NHS is one of the largest providers of human services in the country with programs in seven states, providing care to over 50,000 adults and children every year.
The NHS Foundation is proud to recognize this amazing accomplishment and acknowledges with gratitude the difference NHS has made in countless lives over this 40 year history. To mark this important anniversary the Foundation has created the Ruby Fund. The ruby is the traditional symbol for 40th anniversaries and contributions to this fund will honor the work of NHS and ensure that the safety net for NHS programs is secure for the future. A gift to the Ruby Fund is an investment in the future of NHS and will enable them to lead the way into the next 40 years of extraordinary care and support for the individuals they serve.
Consider making a gift to the Ruby Fund to show your support and appreciation of NHS. The Fund provides a perfect way to honor a staff member or consumer who has contributed to the success of NHS. You can also remember a friend of NHS with a memorial contribution. All gifts to the Ruby Fund will be acknowledged individually and recognized in a future edition of Endeavors, the Foundation newsletter that is sent to friends and supporters of NHS.
Please join with us to continue to make this fund an outstanding success. Make your donation by clicking here or contact the NHS Foundation office by phone (610.260.4675) or by email at foundation@nhsonline.org.
