Consultation and Training

Education Consultation

NHS Human Services provides a full range of consultation services for individuals, schools and other provider organizations. NHS consultants provide training and education in the following areas:  

  • Applied Behavior Analysis: Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Masters Level clinicians are available for consultation to support the development of behavior/treatment plans based upon Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), reinforcement systems, classroom management techniques, data collection and analysis systems and appropriate goal selection,
  • The ECLIPSE Model: This model for teaching self-regulation, attribution retraining, executive functioning and other global skills critical to successful functioning was developed by NHS.  Trainings are available in half or full-day sessions and can include a “train the Trainer” component.  Services also include consultation on systemic implementation and individual case consultations for students of all ages.
  • Competency-based trainings for families, professionals, community organizations and first responders are available in a variety of subjects to include Autism Spectrum Disorders, Promoting Successful Inclusion, Addressing Challenging Behaviors in the Home or Classroom, Fostering Social Skill Development, Sensory Integration, and Augmentative Communication Systems.  Trainings can be modified to meet time constraints, and individualized training programs can be designed to meet the specific needs of any professional and/or parent group.  NHS has the capability to conduct sessions of 1-3 hours, as well as full-day workshops and conferences.
  • Needs Assessment and Program Evaluation: NHS’ Children’s Services can facilitate a needs assessment or program evaluation for school systems and community organizations using data driven analysis and decision making processes.
