Alternative Education

Children Achieving Through Re-Education (CARE) services are rehabilitative by design and focus on reducing a student’s problematic school behavior and improving academic performance. Each CARE classroom utilizes a teacher, Behavioral Specialist/Clinician and Support Staff. There are no more than 11 students in each classroom to accommodate the varying and diverse needs of each child. The program is short term for children who possess and identified emotional disturbance and/or serious mental illness. Students in the CARE program may also receive supports through the Behavioral Health rehabilitation Services (BHRS).
