Student Assistance Program (SAP)
This is a school-based intervention and referral program. Mental Health Counselors and Assessors work with students in their own school setting and provide individual and group counseling in an effort to provide support to students to overcome academic barriers. Students with mental health issues are identified and referred for appropriate services to address their unique needs. Referrals are made through guidance counselors, teachers and other school personnel. Services include an initial evaluation, assessment, support groups, individual counseling and crisis intervention.
