Outpatient Services

NHS offers site based treatment to adults with mental illness who are in need of therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management.  A variety of highly trained professional staff offer individual, group, family and specialized therapies to individuals and their families.  Board eligible or certified psychiatrists are available for diagnostic assessment and evaluation as well as medication monitoring and evaluation.  In addition, some sites offer nursing support for Clozaril management, psychoeducation, and medication administration.  Outpatient services are best suited for individuals who are experiencing a high level of comfort and stability in their recovery.

Partial Hospitalization

This service provides a structured site based 6 hour day treatment program for individuals who require additional supports to proceed in their recovery.  Participants engage in psychoeducation, group therapy and training programs to develop greater stability in community living.  Psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring are an integral part of this treatment service.  Individuals participating in this type of service are encouraged to actively participate in goals directed at moving to more meaningful day activities such as work or volunteer activities.

Recovery Centers – Psychiatric Rehabilitation

This site based program is similar to partial hospitalization and provides service for up to 6 hours a day.  Individuals in these programs require assistance to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal adjustment and community living.  This program uses a variety of professional and para-professional staff to facilitate skills training.  A psychoeducation component assists with building natural supports, job preparedness and daily living.  Individuals focus on their personal recovery goals and development of skills needed to live successfully in the community.

Telemedicine

Offered at designated outpatient and partial hospitalization programs this state of the art service allows individuals who have limited access to care to receive services.  Some reasons for limited access may include lack of available professional and medical staff, travel restrictions, or disability.  Individuals will work with their treatment team to determine to identify and obtain this service if available.
